She was an outstanding player of Bækkelaget, and Tus Walle Bremen with all the caprices of a star. Her class was also acknowledged by those who didn’t appreciate her style. She was the number one left back of the nineties, won an Olympic gold in Atlanta, a World Championship in 1997, two European Championships (1994, 1996). In 1997 she was chosen Handball Player of the Year, and she was second in the Player of the Century vote after Zinaida Turcina.

She continued her career as a most successful coach of Slagelse in Denmark. She led her team winning EHF Cup, Cupwinners Cup and Champions League.
